Maternity Pictures

We took our maternity pictures yesterday and it was so much fun!! Erin Cox is the photographer that took them and she was wonderful. I highly recommend her!! She has already posted some pictures of our shoot on her blog if you want to check them out.

Baby Name

I wanted to share why we decided to name our baby girl Julia Carol.

Julia was my grandmas name who was like my second mom to me. She passed away about 3 years ago and we were extremely close! Before she passed I promised her that if I ever had a little girl I would name her after her. Love you Grandma!!

Carol was Robs grandmas middle name and she passed about 2 years ago from cancer. Rob was very close to her as well and we thought what a wonderful way to honor her.

So Julia Carol it is!! Our baby girl is named after two wonderful women that definitely made an impact on us!! We love you!

The Baby Room

This is the "before" picture that was once our spare bedroom. The baby room was Rob's vision. He chose the paint colors and the only thing missing is our rocking chair. We bought a (local) old fashion handmade one that we are picking up tomorrow. When he finished the room we were standing there just taking it all in and he said "This room is made for a lot of tea parties" I just smiled!!






This is a picture of Jules baby crib and changing table that her papa (aka grandpa Carlos) bought for her. The picture above her crib is of an angel that we found and thought above her bed was a perfect place to hang it- to watch over her!




This is a picture of our twin bed in her room for mommy and daddy to sleep in when we are up for many night feedings!! The lavendar blanket on the bed her Nan (aka grandma Patsy) made. This is also a place for our friends and family to stay when visiting!! The pictures that are above the bed I found them on Art.com and fell in love with them.



This is a picture of her name on the wall and again her changing table that we are going to be changing A LOT of stinky diapers on!!

Our Baby Shower

Our baby shower was so much fun! It was wonderful to have everyone we love all in one place. We had such a good time and I think the guys enjoyed the Seahawks game! We had soooo much food b/c my mom always thinks we won't have enough. We got a lot of cute gifts and are very grateful for everyone coming and supporting us.



I love my husband so much! He's just an all around amazing person!



Love this family picture of our best friend Emma and her baby boy Jaeden. We have already arranged the marriage between her boy and our baby girl!!

Congrats to Dimitri and Zhanna Bogomaz

I would love to introduce this new baby girl Evolette Nadia Bogomaz born on Oct. 8th. She is the cutest little thing and has the smallest feet with long toes! This is going to be Julia's new best friend! And this girl already has at least over 300 outfits! You should see her closet!! I was left speechless when I did! Zhanna looks great and is a wonderful mommy and a great example for me to follow! Love you girls!

Profile Picture

This is our newest picture of our baby girl. I know that these pictures are sometimes hard to understand but I will try to help you see this wonderful profile picture. We got this a few days ago. It was so awesome because when my doctor was doing the ultra sound she kept moving her hands from her face and my doctor said "Ohhhh shes trying to suck her thumb"! It was so cool to see her moving on the screen but at that moment she started to suck her fingers. It was soooo cute! Anyways I wanted to share this picture. When your looking at it you can see her profile of her little nose and her mouth is open b/c shes just about to start to suck her fingers. Her little hand is coming up to her mouth. You can see the side of her body and the little dark spot on her chest is her strong heart. I have notice that she moves the most when I eat waffles in the morning or Organic Roasted Red Pepper soup for dinner. Rob is almost done with the baby room and our crib and changing table is on the way. I can't wait to share the wonderful job Rob has done with her room and the best thing is the whole theme and design was all his idea!

9 weeks to 21 weeks

This is our baby girl's 1st picture! This was taken at 9 weeks. You can kind of see the shape of her head, her little arm buds and body. At 9 weeks I was feeling completely AWFUL!! The 1st trimester...Wow your never really ready for that! I always heard about morning sickness from other women but going through it is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY!!!! My morning sickness was all day and all night for about 4 1/2 months! My body was changing and I couldn't control it anymore, whatever was happening was going to happen and I had to deal with it! I've never gone through so much emotions in the 1st trimester of crying, to just feeling hopeless with being sick all day and I couldn't really take anything to help it. The one thing that helped was that Rob is the most supportive and caring husband. He has really taken the role of the care giver and does everything for me. Poor Rob...one of my favorite "Pregnant Moments" was.....One Sunday after church we went to Fred Meyer with my mom to get something to eat and I was feeling really awful and I couldn't believe I made it through church but we were waiting in line and Rob was standing behind me and I felt this rush of air hit my neck and for some reason I had a "pregnant moment"! I turned around and looked at Rob with a frown on my face and asked him "Did you just breathe"!?!? the people in line looked at me like this lady is crazy! Rob had this stunned look on his face and responded " Yes babe I have to breathe for the next 9 months"!! I realized what I just said and I felt so bad! There are so many more stories but not enough room to write!

This is of our baby girl and me at 18 weeks! If you look at her picture you have a veiw of the back of her head, neck and spine. You can also see her little five fingers to the left of her head. At this point I was starting to feel better day by day and actually starting to look at food again!

Our most recent pictures. The first picture is the bottom of our baby girl's foot. Rob always makes fun of my feet because he says that my 2nd toe is so much longer than usual compare to the others and when he saw this picture at the doctors office he started to laugh because he said that she had my feet. He thinks her 2nd toe is longer than the rest like mine but I think he's CRAZY! The second picture is of me and my dear friend Zhanna who is also having a baby girl and is due in 3 weeks! Doesn't she look great! Currently I'm feeling wonderful and I can feel her move all the time and I can't believe I'm already past the 5 month mark. Rob is starting to get the baby room ready so I will keep you posted.....
