Julia at the park

We finally got some sun last week so we took Julia to the park for the first time. She was finally big enough to ride the swing but she had this look on her face like "Am I suppose to like this" the entire time. We took a walk by the river and got some Vitamin D for the day!

Valentines Day

Julia is all in pink for her first Valentines Day Party at daycare. She got a few Valentines and brought fruit for her classmates. When I got home Rob suprised me and Julia with matching Crocs as our Valentines Day gift! It was so cute!! Julia's were so small

Happy Birthday Jules!!

We celebrated Jules 1st birthday this past weekend at our party room. Her theme was Mickey Mouse of course! It took her about a good hour for her to warm up to people but after that she was all laughs and playing with her friends. She got a lot of clothes and around 20 people showed up.  Instead of a big cake daddy and mommy made a personal Mickey cake and everyone else had ice cream cones with all kinds of yummy toppings.We would love to share a few photos from the personal Mickey cake that mommy and daddy made, Jules wearing her birthday hat they made her at daycare, her playing with friends to a video of singing Happy Birthday! Goals that she achieved by 1 are sleeping through the night, NO MORE BINKIE (woo hoo), standing for a few seconds by herself and the most amazing one of all is starting to recognize words and read!! We have been showing her "Baby You Can Read Videos" since she was 5 months and just two weekends ago we showed her flashcards and she would act out what the flash card said recognizing the words!! We are so proud!

Merry Christmas!

Our little Julia…Where do I start??!!

Well this is Julia’s first Christmas and I can’t believe she’s going to be one next month!! She’s doing so much now and each day we are learning something new about her. She LOVES Mickey Mouse and loves to play Peek a Boo! She crawls like she’s been doing it all her life and talks so much! This week she has learned how to walk with her toy walker and she understands Spanish and English words!! We wanted to share some pictures we have taken in the last few months!! They range from her helping mommy decorate to crawling like she works for Cirque Soleil to bad morning bed head from the night before to playing in a fort Daddy made for her to just being silly!! We also had to take half of our Christmas tree out so that she couldn’t get to it!!

Happy 1st Halloween as Pebbles Flintstone

This was a big weekend for Jules. Friday her daycare had a Halloween Party and all the babies dressed up.  We thought that Jules would be the perfect Pebbles b/c she has all that wonderful hair. Saturday she had her 9 month check up and everything went great. She got her first flu shot and took it like a pro and didn't even cry. Today she went to her buddy Bryces house and played in their costumes together. They are one week apart and so cute together.  I think Jules thought Bryce was a real dog b/c she kept laughing eveytime he tried to pull off the top of his costume.
